Traditional Crown & Bridge

Porcelain Fired to Metal

Metal ceramic restorations have a long and storied tradition in the history of dental prosthetics. These porcelain fired to metal (PFM's) restorations have served as the standard for fixed restorations and provided the esthetic motivation and inspiration for the all ceramic systems of today. Though our dependence on metal ceramic has certainly decreased, it will be slow to see its final sunset.  PFM's will continue to be used to match pre existing crowns and they provide ultimate strength for long span bridgework. Our laboratory applies architectural principles of reinforced porcelain systems to our metal ceramics and we have now incorporated that strategy into our all ceramic systems as well. Materials will change, but tried and true principles of architecture remain constant. We continue to offer the porcelain fired to metal option for our clients and it is with great passion that we give you the following visual stroll through a portion of our PFM library.
